At Restoring San Diego, we believe that true transformation begins at the heart. That’s why we developed the HITS Program — a Christ-centered, character-building curriculum designed to equip at-risk youth with the tools they need to rise above their circumstances and walk boldly into their God-given purpose.

HITS stands for Honor, Integrity, Tenacity, and Sacrifice — four core pillars that form the foundation of our program. Each principle is rooted in biblical truth and brought to life through interactive lessons, mentorship, storytelling, and hands-on application.

🔹 H – Honor

We begin by teaching the importance of honor — honoring God, honoring your family, and respecting those placed in authority such as teachers, coaches, and   community leaders. Many youth today are raised in environments where honor is misunderstood or missing altogether. Through scripture, role-playing, and real-life   scenarios, we help youth rediscover what it means to live a life that honors God and others.

  Key lessons include:

     Honoring your parents (Ephesians 6:1–3)

     Respecting teachers and school authority

Valuing your own worth as a child of God

🔹 I – Integrity

Integrity is about doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. We challenge youth to reflect on their actions and attitudes, helping them understand that   their choices matter — not just to others, but to God.

We walk with them through the consequences of dishonesty and the power of confession, forgiveness, and rebuilding trust. By grounding this value in biblical   teachings, they begin to see that integrity isn’t weakness — it’s strength.

 Key lessons include:

Living without double standards (Proverbs 11:3)

Being honest in words and actions

The cost and reward of truthfulness

🔹 T – Tenacity

Life is full of setbacks — especially for youth facing adversity. But tenacity teaches them to never give up, to persevere even when the odds are against them. We       show them how Jesus, the apostles, and others in scripture endured hardship with faith and determination.

Through personal stories of struggle and resilience from our team — many of whom have lived the very lives our students are trying to escape — we model what it   looks like to push forward in the face of opposition.

 Key lessons include:

The value of perseverance (James 1:12)

     Overcoming failure with faith

Building a mindset that doesn’t quit

🔹 S – Sacrifice

The final pillar of our program points to the greatest example of love the world has ever known — the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We teach youth about the power of   sacrificial love: putting others before yourself, giving up destructive habits, and living for something greater than your own desires.

We help them see that true freedom often comes through sacrifice — and that God has already paid the highest price for their redemption.

   Key lessons include:

          Understanding the cross (John 15:13)

What it means to live sacrificially

Serving others with humility and love
